Our opinion on this device: In short: small, light, well thought out. All necessary functions are available. Despite the surprising range of functions, the operation and navigation are very simple and intuitive.
A special feature in this price range is the measurement of analog signals in the range of 42 - 87.5 MHz and 109 - 1005 MHz (the FM range cannot be set, it is skipped in the frequency grid).
For cable TV and analog measurements, the measuring device indicates whether an AC or DC remote supply voltage is present on the line and displays its voltage value.
For DVB-T/T2 measurements, the device can power an antenna or a preamplifier. The following values for the feed voltage can be set: OFF / 5 V / 12 V / 18 V / 24 V DC. At the same time, the device measures the DC load and displays the current voltage value and current.
In the satellite area, the device shines with an electronic compass in connection with the geographical location detection and an integrated position sensor. This makes aligning the mirror to a satellite child's play. Both the virtual location of the satellite and the orientation of the measuring device are marked by two points on the display that simply need to be brought together.
An important feature is the current measurement, which is very helpful especially in case of problems with Unicable LNB or receiver-powered multi-switches. Another good feature is the transponder control, where 4 transponders (one transponder from a SAT level) are displayed side by side, so you can see at a glance whether a level is disturbed or has failed at the LNB or multi-switch.
Unlike many competitors, the HF connectors of the device were designed to be service-friendly as internal F-connectors, so that the actual connections were realized with adapters. This means that these wear parts can be easily replaced by the user in case of contact problems.
Compared to Far East products, you can rely on good repair service from Megasat if needed and receive software updates.
